You can delete your Mychar account at any time. Account deletion permanently removes your personal data, subject to legal retention obligations.
How to delete
1. Open the Mychar app
2. Go to Settings
3. Scroll to the bottom and tap Delete Account
4. Confirm in the warning dialog
What happens after deletion
- Your account is marked as deleted and your personal identifiers are anonymized
- Account data is permanently removed within a reasonable period (typically within 90 days of the deletion request), except where retention is required by applicable law (financial transaction records for tax purposes, fraud prevention, or legal claims)
Important: subscription cancellation is separate
- Mobile subscriptions (Apple / Google): account deletion does not automatically cancel your subscription. You must cancel separately in your App Store or Google Play account settings.
- Web subscriptions (Stripe): website subscriptions are cancelled together with account deletion.
Account deletion via support
If you cannot access the in-app option, email `info@mychar.io` with the subject "Delete my account" and include the email address on your account. We will process the deletion request within 5 business days.
