Gems are MyChar's in-app currency. You have a single gem balance linked to your account — it is shared across the app and the website, so gems purchased on one platform are available on the other when you sign in with the same email.
What you can spend gems on
- Gifts for characters (gifts also improve the character's mood and your relationship)
- Voice calls (billed per minute)
- Unlocking premium photos and videos
How to get gems
- Subscriptions — some plans include gems
- Direct purchase — buy gem packs in the app (via the App Store / Google Play) or on the website
Things to know
- Gems are tied to your account email — sign in with the same email everywhere to see the same balance.
- Spent gems are not refundable once the content or call has been delivered.
- Unused gems remain in your account as long as your account is active.
